Verardi Dental is a beautiful, state-of-the-art digital and paperless dental practice. The high-tech aspect of this practice required the most extensive research and the highest level of communication both prior to and upon installation.

The digital component of the office encompasses Mediadent intra-oral sensors and a Sirona Orthophos XG 5 digital panorex. Mediadent imaging software, including cosmetic completes the digital package. Each dental operatory is equipped with dual Multi-Media LCD flat Screens that provide patient education and entertainment. The Digi-Doc backpack intra-oral camera as well as the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT extra-oral camera completes the photographic aspect of the patient experience in our office. In addition, the photos allow for a high level of communication with my dental laboratory regarding cases. This system encourages active participation of patients with staff regarding their dental care.

The paperless aspect of the office is achieved through several means. Mediadent practice management software as well as clinical charting and voice-activated periodontal software eliminate the need for paper charts. We utilize both a dual-sided document scanner and a separate high resolution scanner for hard radiographs that we receive from other dental providers. The software has an additional Mercury Messenger operatory communication component that eliminates the need for an additional inter-office messaging system. Due to its paperless nature, the office remains tidy. One of my most favorite components of the practice management software is remote access to the office database which allows me to work efficiently while away from the office.
